Come to Camp

 Goalies of Colorado Youth Hockey,

Krivo School of Hockey Elite is inviting ALL youth goaltenders of ALL genders and skill levels to participate in our 10-week ongoing Elite Goaltender Development Program. Our newly designed program allows youth goaltenders consistent development throughout the season, as well as in the off season.

Our Philosophy:
The Krivo Goalie Team takes pride in educating goaltenders on the technical, physiological, psychological, and nutritional aspects of the game. Our main objective is to build the foundation for great goaltending, provide superior instruction and mentoring, strive to stay on top of current trends of the game and innovate the position. Whether we are working with goaltenders learning to play or fine tuning the ELITE, we coach based on these key principals.

10-Week Elite Development Program Includes:
On-Ice Instruction (20 hours)
Goaltenders will revisit the foundational basics while learning how to incorporate advanced techniques into the development of their own unique style. Goalies will also learn how to apply these techniques to real-game scenarios to understand not only how and what to do, but why and when to execute.  We strive to develop intelligent athletes and use individual video analysis to help educate goalies on all aspects of the position.

Flexibility and Functional Strength (10 hours)
In order to be effective, goalies must learn to develop superior athleticism. This program is based on full-body functional strength training, with heavy focus on hip and glute activation through yoga and calisthenics to increase flexibility, improve reflex and reaction, and prevent injury.

Performance Nutrition and Mental Preparation Education (2 classroom, 1 hour long instructions/seminars. Mandatory for participants. Parents encourage to participate)
Elite goaltenders must focus equally as hard on nutrition and the mental aspect of the game as they do the physical aspect. To reap the full benefits of any workout or practice, and to promote peak performance in games, athletes need to understand how, what, when, and why they should be eating certain foods. Goalies will learn about the active body principle and how to become a 24 hour athlete. Our goaltenders will also learn about goal setting, self-talk, energy management, and other mental preparation techniques to elevate their performance.
